Subject

There are two ways to find the subject.

1. If you make a question with wie or wat the answer to the question is the subject.

• Piet eet een appel. Wie eet een appel? - > Piet
• De auto rijdt te snel. Wat rijdt te snel? - > de auto

2. If you change the finite verb from singular to plural, the subject changes as well.

• Piet eet een appel.
• Jan en Piet eten een appel.
