Finite verb

There are three ways to find the finite verb.

1. If you make a question the finite verb is the word that comes first.

• Piet eet een appel.
• Eet Piet een appel?

2. If you change the tense the finite verb changes as well.

• Piet eet een appel.
• Piet at een appel.

3. If the subject is plural the finite verb is plural as well.

• Piet eet een appel.
• Jan en Piet eten een appel.
